Other projects include co-directing the “Medieval Meets Modern” project on the Middle Ages for Educators website serving on the Advisory Board of the New Chaucer Society’s journal Pedagogy and Profession and contributing to the APPE Northeast Regional Ethics Bowl in various capacities. Serving as a Trustee of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District and as a Book Buddies volunteer provide me with additional ways to engage in conversations about learning, literacy, and creativity. My publications explore medieval and modern teaching methods as well as varying representations of embodiment, disability, and gender in many different kinds of works, ranging from medieval manuscripts to modern-day comics. I teach First Year Seminars and literature courses on medieval texts and culture, disability studies, gender and sexuality, graphic narratives, and the history of the English language.
